About Me
|
|
So, again it has been months since I have even loged on, much less updated, so here it goes. I am a 2nd Lt. in the United States Air Force and I graduated from Oklahoma State University. I finished ASBC shortly there after; it was fun but totally pointless. I reached Ellsworth AFB in July of last year. I started out as the Accessories Flight Commander responsible for 81 people along with the egress, fuel, hydraulic, and electo-environmental systems on the B-1B. I also spent a few months with the dual roll as the 28th Maintenance Groups Night Duty Officer which is a whole lot of fun for a 2Lt. Recently I was put in charge of the Maintenance Flight which conducts ISO and homes station checks on the B-1. In the past we did Phase inspections which I think is a much better inspection schedule for the way that we fly this aircraft but then again what do I know. So I am now in charge of about 80 people and all the fun and responsibility that comes along with a Captains billet. I live in one of the most beautiful places in the US. My apartment is nestled right in the Black Hills of South Dakota and the local wildlife are everywhere. I still enjoy photography and with the area I am in I will have plenty of opportunities to photograph more than just airplanes. Unfortunately with my new assignment I probably will not be able to fly as much as I want to but I should stay busy enough. I still have my three turtles (two three toed box turtles and one red-eared slider) I have had my male three towed for about 14 years and my female for about and I still consider them part of the family, and the little slider, well it is now old enough to tell what it realy is so she is actually a he. Finally Amanda Ellen Miller my wonderful fiancée is still at Oklahoma State working on her veterinary medicine degree so it has been hard on both of us being a few thousand miles apart and it is looking like it will be at least three years before we will be able to live together permanently but we are still on track for our wedding next May, anyway I know it has been rough sometimes but I still could not be more happy or privileged!!! I still cannot believe that someone as perfect as her would choose me and I really mean that.
