Blog Entry: This photo used for my main pic was taken while I was on landing contingency for the space shuttle at Edwards Air Force Base in California back in the fall of 2006. That is a life-size bronze statue of Chuck Yeager at one of the intersections on base. Weird place for it, since it isn't a park or fancy memorial-- its just this statue and a marble block commemorating the day he broke the speed of sound.
