I knew it had to end sometime, but every year at this time it's so sad to watch another drag racing season come to an end. Brandon won the "King of The Street" this year, so that made him very happy. "Grenade" blew an engine and the tranny had to be replaced. Lot's of mechanical problems that kept Brandon and his crew at Sling Blade Performance VERY busy. (Thanks to Chris, Brandons crew chief for all the help) Overall it was a good racing season, but hectic schedule. Brandon raced in Alabama, Mississippi, Missouri, Arkansas and Tennessee, plus all the races here in Illinois at the I-57 dragstrip in Benton. Racing fans were fantastic, especially all the little kids wanting Brandons autograph, made him feel a little awkward, but he made it through it. Maybe a little peace and quiet until March!
