Pretty much love it all....I've learned to be open-minded and look for the good qualities in all genres of music....but I prefer classic rock (LZ,Hendrix, Boston, Foreigner), country (Rascal Flatts,Garth, Alabama, Gretchin), bluegrass (CDB), southern gospel, jazz/blues...."it's all good."

Aviation Background
|
|
It all started on the sixth grade Florida trip to Kennedy Space Center. After falling in love with the idea of becoming an astronaut, I started taking flight lessons at age 13. I soloed a month after turning 16 and got my license in the fall of '05. Currently I'm in training to get an instrument rating and plan to get the commercial and multi-engine engine add-ons in the near future. It would still be incredible to travel to space one day, but I'm having a blast flying here in earth's atmosphere.
Here are some great quotes from pilot mentors:
There's no such thing as a natural-born pilot.
- Chuck Yeager
Problems look mighty small from 150 miles up.
- Astronaut Roger B. Chaffee
The most effective way to do it, is to do it.
- Amelia Earhart
I don't know what you could say about a day in which you have seen four beautiful sunsets.
- John Glenn (first American to orbit earth)

My screename is flyinbert. (I aquired the nickname "Bert" from a toddler who was unable to say "Brittany" and called me "Bertnie." Eventually the "nie" got dropped off and Bert stuck. Then I started flying, but in the South, it's customary to leave the "g" off of gerunds. (For all you who aren't grammar enthusiatists, a gerund is a verbal, or a word that acts like a verb. Other examples of gerunds are running, fishing, swimming or if you're from God's country, runnin',fishin', swimmin'. I know you all wanted to know that.)
