Hello Pilots & future pilots:
San Diego Miramar Community College is offering affordable aviation ground school training at a very low price. At $20 per credit (Each class is 3 credits) per semester. Classes usually meet once a week for 3 hours.
Miramar College's Aviation Operations Program offers two Associate in Science Degrees: Aviation Operations-Management and Aviation Operations-Professional Pilot. To receive this degree, students must successfully pass the following courses as well as meet all general education requirements established by San Diego Community College District.
For those students who may already possess advanced degrees but are interested in adding an aviation specialty to their resume, the “Certificate of Achievement” focuses exclusively on aviation related courses and can usually be completed in one year.
Miramar offers the following classes:
- Private Pilot Ground School
- Introduction to Aviation and Aerospace
- Aviation Management
- Group Dynamics: Teams under Stress
- Human Factors in Aviation
- Instrument Ground School
- Commercial Airline Pilot Instruction
- Professional Flight Instructor Ground School
