I though I could show you a couple of cool homebuilts.
One of ma favorite plane is the RV7 from
Van's aircraft.
Cool look, excellent performance and 2 seats...side-by-side that is, not tandem like most of the homebuilts.
You can build this beauty for 65 000$US(base price), that includes the empennage, wings, fuselage and engine. I'm not sure if the avionics and the painting are included in that price.
If you're confident in your capabilities, you can only buy the plans for 375$US and do everything from scratch, that is buying already treated aluminum, cut, bend, punch, etc....
I would certainly go for that plane to build but I couldn't find a dealer in Canada, so imagine the shipping cost and customs fee.
