Historical movies, especially fomr the most recent eras. I don't like films like the Da Vinci Code (I found it totally silly. Anyway, Tom Hanks is one of my favourite actors). I also like comedies and similar things. I hate the comic movies they issue around Chritsmas and things like American Pie. Nicole Kidman is my favourite actress, above all because she's the most beautiful woman I have ever seen!
As for serials, I love the medical drama ER!

U2, REM, Oasis, Tears for Fears, Simple Minds, Pink Floyd, Travis, Blur, Please NO ITALIAN ARTISTS!
I attended different gigs, all in Rome:
Oasis (3 times), U2 and REM (once), and I have also seen different artists (both Italian and non) performing in different places.

I don't enjoy reading very much, but George Orwell's Animal Farm is my favourite book, alongside with some from an Italian writer called Primo Levi, who has been deported to Auschwitz and wrote many books about his terrible experience.

Hello fellow aviation enthusiasts!
I'm Giacomo, 22, from Rome!
I've read about this site on airliners.net.
As many of you, I love flying.
Currently, I am attending the third year of Economics here in Rome, and I should be able to take the first level degree this summer (4 exams left at the moment I'm writing)
There are three things I do like besides aviation: speaking English, travelling and taking photos.
I like the English language since I started studying it at the intermediate school. I must say I have been lucky, because the learning of English is not good in my country, but I had great teachers who made me love the subject. I also deepened my skills by attending a one-year-long (and expensive) course at the British Council, which allowed me to speak more fluently and to prepare for the First Certificate Examination. I usually spend a lot of time on the Internet in order to post message on different forums and reading things, as it helps me to practice my English skills. It's important for me to say that listening to English music helped me with the learning of the language, and I bought my first record (Be Here Now by Oasis) just when I started studying English. As I was saying, travelling is another thing I do like: I had my first trip alone in 2001, rather late, as I was 17 at the time, when I went to Tunisia with my classmates (see the avaition background section), and a lot of other smaller or bigger trips came along, not only in Italy (I have a lot of relatives spread all around the country): England (Essex, Kent and London), Germany (Munich, Bavaria, Berlin and Potsdam), Austria (Innsbruck and Vienna), Switzerland (Geneva and some smaller towns in the Italian speaking part of the country), France (a nice town Annecy and a smaller one close to the Italian Border) and Czech Republic (Prague and Pilsen).
Both flying and taking photos are strongly related with each other and with travelling: I usually take A LOT of photos (Berlin is my top: 500 shots!) because I want to have an unerasable document of what I have seen (though I don't have aprofessional camera), and I do enjoy doing it (you'll be welcome to see my gallery).

I started loving the aviation world when I was a little kid, when I payed a visit to a family friend who used to build models of military aircrafts, so I decided to try. My passion increased and I started getting magazines and books, visiting museums and attending air shows.
I gave up modelling after few years, but I rediscovered the aviation world after my first flight in 2001, when I went to Tunisia for a school trip. By that time I started collecting boarding passes, timetables, baggage tags and whatever related to the civil aviation world.
I have flown ten times so far, only scheduled flights within Europe, and visited different airports: Rome Ciampino and Fiumicino, London Stansted, Tunis, Berlin Schoenefeld, Vienna and Prague. I know it's not much, but more will come!
My favourite aircrafts are A319 and 777-200, and I'm looking forward to the first flight of the new 787. Commercial Aviation will also concern my degree work!
Moreover, I'm a good Flight Simulator pilot, and I usually fly the aircrafts I already spoke about

On the spare time, I build AFV models and tanks. I do like to get realistic miniatures in the place of toys (as they are). Another hobby I like is playing the guitar. Oasis songs also helped me to start. I became rather good, after 6 years, even without taking any lesson!
But sometimes the best thing I can do, which helps me to relax a bit after different hours of studying, is taking a walk!
